Facilities

Farmhouse

The main Farmhouse, built in the 1880s, is a visitor’s first look at camp and a staple of year-round programming. This hub contains the kitchen, dining hall, library and multi-use basement. In keeping with our environmental commitments, this building is supported by a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Cabins

The 13 lodging cabins on site are able to accommodate up to 8 individuals for an authentic camping experience that is comfortable and safe.

Hoey Hall

Hoel Hall is the main recreational hall at Camp Scugog. As a four-season facility, it's perfect for hosting events and gatherings at any time of year.

Waterfront

The full-service Waterfront is where swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, beach volleyball, and a cozy campfire can be enjoyed. Whether visiting the nearby marsh, going out on the open lake, or gathering around the fire pit surrounded by good company, it's always a peaceful time by the water.

Lower Field

A vast space, the Lower Field is a great place to host field games, try your shot at archery, or simply enjoy a regular day at the park.

Low Ropes

The low ropes course is tucked away in the cedar forest so that participants are able to connect with nature while enjoying this rewarding and exciting activity. With teamwork and co-operation, campers are able to work together to overcome each challenge.

Basketball Court

The 6-net basketball court is large enough to host various games and activities. Complete with bleachers, it serves as a great place to play or spectate.

Old Barn

The Old Barn is used as Camp Scugog's Nature School's outdoor classroom. With a fire pit, weather-proof tent and lots of open space, it's a versatile location that can host many different activities.

Campsites

Three campsites are available for off-main-site camping, and day hikes and picnics. Cedars, North Point and Remote all have unique offerings including location, size and proximity to the lake.

High Ropes

Our high ropes course is a new addition to the activities we offer at camp. Off the forest path, Leahey Lane, can be found a high ropes adventure that tests skills of balance, strength and cooperation. Groups must work together to overcome obstacles in the sky!
